Twitter is a place that reveals individuals who are famous, too, still, by choice.
E-Mail, IM/Webcam, Blogging, and Posting Online on Message Boards
E-mail and instant messenger went down in the late 1990s. Video cam came much later.
Blogger was probably popular coming out around 2000.
Message boards exist, as well.
